The minister information and culture, Lai Mohammed has called on Nigerians to look beyond their political differences.


Mohammed said the country will only make progress when everyone unites.
The minister said this in Akwa-Ibom, ahead of a scheduled Town Hall meeting in the South-South region.
Mohammed also paid a courtesy visit to Governor Udom Emmanuel, whom he praised for his hospitality.
The minister also said Akwa-Ibom is the most peaceful state in the South-South.

Mohammed also said the Town Hall meeting was put together by government to communicate its policies and activities to the people.
Adding that “The meeting will sensitise the people to what government is doing, the challenges it is facing and the way forward as well as provide a platform for meaningful interaction with citizens.”
Alhaji Lai Mohammed also revealed that the Federal Government will revive the moribund National Endowment Funds for the Arts.
Adding that the step was parts of government's effort to strengthen the creative industry and assist practitioners in the sector.
On Thursday, June 9, 2016, five ministers including the Information and Culture Minister, Lai Mohammed and  his Power, Works, and Housing counterpart, Babatunde Fashola participated in the inaugural town hall meeting powered by Buharimeter.
